Health Updates! Mrs. Laura Murphy & Rita Murphy

This is from my brother Paddy who has kindly gathered information from the family.

Hi Corm.
Me Mum is doing very well. She is now up and about on her Zimmer. Susan has got her a recliner which she loves. The nurse and the physio visit daily.
Tess, Mary and Rita were down there staying with Sue. Our Tess was saying that Sue worked like a trojan and stayed up throughout the night looking after me Mum and seeing to the visitors etc....

I visited Rita in hospital. She had the tumour removed from her foot and had plates and pins inserted. She is doing well and hopes to be out next week. I am not sure if the cancerous tumour in her foot was connected to the ovarian cancer. She is very upbeat and learning to take her medication.
I met Tess and Gerald there and Gerald administered Holy Communion to Rita.

Tess was saying Charlie(her son) is just out of hospital in Thailand. He contracted dengue fever(another disease spread by the mosquito). It is a killer and Charlie was lucky to get through it. He is up and about but has hepatitis as a result of it.

Pad.

Condition of Mrs. Laura Murphy

Laura Murphy is mother, grandmother, great grandmother and auntie to many of our cousins. She will be 96 years of age on the 6th August. She has been staying at my sister Laura's in Purley over Christmas, and is now at my sister Susan's house in London. She had a slight fall over the holiday and was admitted to hospital for a few days. She came out and developed a urinary infection. She was then re-admitted to hospital on the 9th of January and is expected to be released today after responding to treatment.
Many of the family and and relations naturally would like to be informed of her general condition, and her location so they may send her good wishes or visit. We have decided to use the blog as an information forum whereby family, relations and friends can receive the required information on her health. I will try and update the blog as often as I can especially if her health situation changes, or if she changes address.
My sisters will update me and I will then update the blog. You can send me you messages on maxarmagh@hotmail.com
Thank you.
Cormac
