Dear Cormac....I'm so sorry to hear that your lovely mum has died...I wish I was there to hold you. I won't insult you with platitudes. ..yes, she did have a long life...but now she is not with you any more, and you are very sad. Embrace your sadness....she was very special to you.....and a wonderful mother to you all . Please accept my sincere condolences and pass them on to the family.
I did have the pleasure of meeting her once...and was struck by how this small lady commanded so much respect from her huge sons , and how you all transformed into extremely well behaved boys when she was around! What an achievement!

Hia Cormac, I was so sorry to here of your mother’s passing. What a great lady she was and what  a great age she lived to. I’m sorry I never knew her better but alas, families are so widespread.  It’s the end of an era when a parent leaves us, with our happy memories. Those memories  seem like they were only yesterday when in fact, decades may have passed. Please pass on our sincere condolences to all your family Cormac, from John, Joan, Joseph, me and all the  Purcells in Manchester. We’ll  say a prayer tonight for your Mam…………. our Auntie Laura. God bless her,Michael

Hey Mate,
Please take care. Nothing affects you like the passing of a parent, especially a mother.  There is something deeply saddening in the loss that sears the soul, and which can last for some time.
My deepest sympathy to you and all the family. You are still remarkably close which is a great part of her legacy.
I will certainly raise a glass to her this weekend, maybe several.
Too much bloody sadness this year. Its been a remarkable year on the whole, but all this death stuff is bollocks. I'm just about coming out of the funk over my Dad, so trust me, you will feel a deep sadness for some time. Its natural I suppose, so deep a wound requires healing.
Just look after yourself and the family, we need to be celebrating many more new years and reunions.
In my thoughts
Paul

Hi Cormac,
Please accept my sincere condolences to you and all the family. It was very sad to hear and read of your mum's death. She lived a long and fascinating lige and leaves a huge legacy in so many ways. How fitting, too, that she is to be buried in Bootle. Do let me know of the funeral details and I will do my best to attend the requiem.
All the very best,
Tom

Cormac,   So sorry to hear the news - I know that she hadn't been well recently - she must have been a great lady living until she was that age and raising so many children - I've only met a few of them, but all seem to be fine people - you should be proud of her.  You will no doubt miss her, but she is now probably in a much better place.  Call me if you feel like talking to someone.  My thoughts are with you.  Have a great celebration of her life with the rest of the family!! ------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Cormac and Family,I am so very sad of the loss of your mother [Muds]. She was the best mother- in-law that I could ever have wished for so therefore I feel very lucky and privileged to be part of her family.I also feel very fortunate that I had the opportunity, recently, to help and spend valuable time with her, in the same way that she had helped me some years ago.It is comforting to know that your Mother is now on her way ‘Home’, especially in the knowledge that she is now at Peace. My mother Audrey and my sisters Anne and Clare also send their condolences.Love to you all.

Hi Cormac,
so sorry to hear of your sad loss. Your Mum sounds to have been a great Lassie to have reared such a fine family and lived to such an age. A real and proper " Irish" family who will miss her greatly.
Marion and I offer our sincere condolences to you and family. My own Mother will be 94 next April but only reared myself and Sandra my sister. A typical Welsh family in numbers, although as I had
told you, my dad was a Murphy on his Mothers side.
I fly out on Sunday until the 26th so we'll meet up at some stage.
Best regards
John

Hi Cormac,
On behalf of all the Herlihy's , please accept our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies for your lovely mum, our dear Auntie Laura.  Losing a mother is so hard , we all still miss our mum- it doesn't matter how long ago it was, or how old they were, Mums are the anchor in all families.  You have been blest with a great family of brothers and sisters, (not forgetting all your extended family members!)  and that is truly a wonderful legacy to your Mum and Dad, (Uncle Mikey- so kind to us Herlihy's when we moved over here, invaluable help to our mum.)  I shall be at the funeral and the cemetery on Wednesday but I'll have to go back to work afterwards .  If I don't get chance to speak to  you or any of the family on the day, please remember we will be thinking of you all and you will be in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
God Bless Cormac and may your mum rest in peace and be safe in the arms of Jesus.
All my love,
Mo   (On behalf of the Herlihys )

Dear Cormac,
I'm so sorry to hear of your mothers's passing. I didn't know until I saw your e-mail and having been in this position myself I know how devastated you must feel. It's a crushing blow for anyone to lose their mum, even when she has reached the very good age of your mother, because there really is a special bond.
At least you have the comfort of knowing you were able to spend some time with her so recently.
You also have the comfort of knowing she was surrounded by so many people who loved her, and who were loved by her. And I am sure it will be of considerable comfort, too, that so many of you will gather to say your goodbyes when you take her home and lay her to rest on Wednesday.
I did look through your family blog which is quite amazing and your mother must have been a very proud woman as she saw her family grow in such a way. It's a rich man indeed who can surround himself with the love and kinship of so many family members.
You and your family are in our prayers and will be on Wednesday.

With respect and regards,Matt, Pam, Samantha, Matt Jnr and family.

Dear Cormac:
My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mother. Aunt Laura was a dear friend of my Mother over the years.
I was touched when I opened the Dropbox file to see the second photo of your young parents waltzing next to a fence, in a field, probably Mullaghbawn. But a ray of sunshine amidst the sadness was to see my own Mother as a young girl - perhaps 20 year old- she was the same age as your Mother, dancing with another Aunt. Never saw this photo before and I shared it with my sibs.
I don't know if my original comment posted to the blog Comment page what with Google verifications, passwords etc, but I wanted you to know that we are thinking of Aunt Laura here in California. She will be remembered - tomorrow morning, 9.30am Mass, St. Teresa of Avila Church, Bodega, California. Look it up.
Que mi Tia Laura descanse en la La Paz de Dios .
Jim

Hi Cormac & Co,
So very sad to hear of your beloved mums death. I met her at my dads(Frank Cannon) funeral some time ago and spent some time talking to her. She asked me where I was from and when I replied 'Liverpool' she was thrilled to tell me that she too was from Liverpool! that story always makes me laugh as it was as if we were in' Timbuck2' when infact we were in Halewood and the place was full of scousers!!!
Please pass on our condolances to all your family you are in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless
Sarah Cannon (Ambrosiani family Sauze d'Oulx Italy)
