Young Pat Fighting in Afghanistan


Pat Murphy, son of Patrick and Audrey is currently serving in Afghanistan with the British Army. He is seen here in uniform and battle fatigues and also between his proud mum and dad. He is with the 45 Commando based in Arbroath.

Hi everyone

Just has my first ebluey off Pat from the hills of Afghanistan. He reports he is doing well as are all the lads out there. Learning the lingo Pashtu to speak to the friendly mountain tribes. He wrote hes had his hair streaked red by a group of kids with henna dye lol even in the mountains hes trying something different, thats Pat to a T. Getting pretty cold out there now he says. Not getting much time off an odd hour here and there.
