Today is the birthday of Michael Edward Murphy. He was born on the 11th Februaruy 1911 and passed away on the 2nd of October 1998.

Many cherished memories of Uncle Mike, especially the day we arrived in England, Saturday, October 19, 1963. He ferried us from the Prince's Landing Stage to Aunt Kitty's house at 27 Ash Street in his baby blue Bedford van ! I can still picture him on the landing stage with Aunts Sue, Kitty, Molly, Aggie, Josie and Uncle Robbie waving to us on the deck of the Sylvania. Welcome to England. What a day and a kaleidoscope of vivid memories !
