Michael Murphy left Mullaghbawn in South Armagh for Liverpool at the start of the 20th century. It was here he married Mary Pender. This is the story of their nine daughters and one son, their children and grandchildren. "Cead Mille Failte"

Dragon Boat Racing in South China Seas























Each year, off the south coast of the main Hong Hong Island, a series of Dragon Boat Races takes place amongst boating clubs, and Hong Kong companies. The company teams train for months leading up to the event, and always find the competition tough against the more established Dragon Boat Clubs who train and compete all year round (boo! hiss!). Over the weekend, Leam Murphy competed in the festival with his company team, Morgan Stanley. He had seven races over 500metres. There are mixed and all mens teams. Here are a few pictures. Leam is sitting in front of a bold bloke in the mixed boat.

Tell Leam to try his hand at the Dragon Boat races here in San Francisco Bay ! It's a great challenge for an oarsman in the choppy waters !
