Michael Murphy left Mullaghbawn in South Armagh for Liverpool at the start of the 20th century. It was here he married Mary Pender. This is the story of their nine daughters and one son, their children and grandchildren. "Cead Mille Failte"

Charlotte of GreenPeace Plants a Tree


Gerald Kaufman MP (far right) joins Manchester supporters in planting an apple tree to oppose the third runway. Right in the middle is our very own Lottie Murphy - daughter of Dan and Pat. Don't forget Lottie, we want to see fruit on that tree next year!!

6 Brothers at St. Mary's School 90th Anniversay

Saturday Night at The Marriott, Liverpool was the venue for the St. Mary's School Reunion. Six of the seven Murphy brothers managed to attend, together with first cousin Des Herlihy. Guest speaker was Lord John Birt - an Old Boy of St. Mary's.

My mum, Rose Mckay, with her three eldest children, Paul, George, Rosemary. Taken during the 2nd WW, possibly for my dad to take with him when he got called up. Her broach is very Wallis Simpson.

Other McKay News:
The ashes of George McKay will be scattered in the grounds of St. Mary's Church, Mullaghbawn, Co. Armagh on Friday 27th November 2009, following 10:30am Mass. This was George's wish and his family will carry it out on this date.
All family are welcome.
