Katie & Abraham Tie the Knot in Galicia!

On the 31st August, Danny & Pat Murphy's eldest, Katie & Spanish boyfriend Abraham celebrated their wedding in the beautiful region of Galicia - that corner area of North West Spain, comprising of the provinces Coruña, Lugo, Ourense & Pontevedra. The celebrations were held in the charming Casa Grande de Rosende, in the village of Rosende, near Sober (actual name!). At the end of the evening we were all far from Sober! A fantastic night, wonderfull food, great hosts and all in all a brilliant weekend - a big thank you to Katie & Abraham and the two families.
Katie and Abraham live in Vigo with baby son Mateo. Katie is a Portuguese & Spanish teacher and translator.
Father Dan is seen on the extreme left of the photo sitting next to Abraham's mum. Behind the happy couple is Katie's sister Charlotte, mum Pat and youngest of the family, Sebastian.
Congratulations!

Sarah Purcell is Master of London!

Talented Sarah Purcell, daughter of Michael, has again excelled herself by graduating last month with a Masters in Geophysical Hazards from University College London, with a distinctionI!
If you remember, Sarah graduated from King’s College London with a First Class Honours in Geography several years earlier.
Congratulations Sarah from all your family and relatives!
As a reward Sarah treated herself to a holiday in Toronto with a friend.
She now works in the City for Brit Insurance as a trainee underwriter and is back in studying mode once again.
The Purcell-Murphy genes have certainly combined well to provide brains and beauty!
Well done Sarah!

Paul McKay - Very Sad News

We are very sorry to hear of Paul McKay passing away on Monday 2nd September 2013. Paul had been ill for some time. Our thoughts go out to his wife Joan and to all his family. He will be sadly missed.
I will always remember him as a kind gentle man, with a very good sense of humour. I loved being in his company - especially in the pub after an Everton game!
At the end of this sad week, his son Paul, and wife Victoria have a new baby daughter, born yesterday. So congratulations to all!
Paul's funeral will be on Wednesday 11th September, at Our Lady of The Annunciation, Bishop Eton, Woolton Road. The gathering afterwards is at Christ The King parish club, Score Lane, Childwall.
Below are pictures of the great man himself.
May He Rest In Peace, and May God and Our Lady Bless Him.
